Austin – New gallery Champion OPENS Wild Beasts a group exhibition, downtown Austin—E 8th and Brazos. Although the opening occurred last night, the exhibition is up through October 8th.
Saturday, September 3rd, Co-Lab Project Space OPENS with Christine Blizard’s installation from 7 to 11 pm, on the eastside. The exhibition including imagery of tipis and rivers, promises to be a “magical and vivid experience.”
Tuesday, September 6th, the Austin Museum of Art offers another FREE DAY, where no admission will be charged. Take advantage and see Good Design: Stories from Herman Miller.
Also, on the 6th, Mike Tajima lectures at the Blanton Museum. Artist Tajima will explore the “the intersection of sculpture, painting, performance and video.” Further, About Face: Portraiture as Subject at the Blanton CLOSES September 4th—an exhibition, which “features 40 portraits in diverse mediums from antiquity to today.”
