Eve Sussman's 89 Seconds to Alcazar, will be featured in More Real

More Real: Art in the Age of Truthiness, opens at SITE Santa Fe on July 6th with a weekend of special events. Curated by Elizabeth Armstrong of Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and co-organized by SITE Santa Fe, the show brings 28 international artists to SITE, and is SITE’s antidote this year to an international biennial. As a co-production of two arts organizations, More Real will travel in March 2013 to MIA, opening there on March 3, 2013. I interviewed Liz Armstrong of MIA, and Irene Hofmann of SITE Santa Fe, about what “truthiness” means, and what visitors can expect of a show whose themes deal in a phrase coined by Stephen Colbert, about humans’ tendencies in this our media age to believe in things that may not be true.

Our music feature this week, curated by AdobeAirstream contributing writer Don Simpson, features the band Little Lo. See their website at: littlelomusic.com

And David D’Arcy reports on Woody Allen at his most Woody Allen, in To Rome with Love, which is playing nationwide.
